Tikalin Duskstar has spent the majority of his life in Dark Thorn Forest. Having been separated from his parents as a child during a bandit raid, he was taken in by rangers who showed him how to hunt and care for himself. As a teenager, he met the Summersong family of half-elves who had set up a home for themselves in the forest. He eventually married the eldest daughter, Siryl. Together, Tikalin and Siryl decided to found a proper ranger outpost using their home as a base of operations in the hopes of making the dangerous Dark Thorn Forest just a little safer.

Tikalin is married to Siryl Summersong, the oldest of four siblings living in the Starpost cabin. The two of them have an infant daughter named Gwendolyn who was born at the end of autumn.

History
Tikalin and Siryl met when the two of them were both teenagers, with the former being introduced to the latter's family after he had been living under the care of traveling rangers. Siryl's family took him in and he bonded slowly with Siryl, due to their age and common interests. As they grew older, the two began to fall in love. Tikalin and Siryl were wed shortly after Tikalin's 25th birthday. In autumn of 1507, they became new parents when Siryl gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
