A strange alliance
Breaking with long custom, a joint venture was recently undertaken with of all things a group elves. These elves have rejected their people's ways and have been working to help our races in Laiqua. The king therefore issued a special degree exempting these elves from the restrictions on working with their kind. Despite the elves being confirmed as trustworthy by agents of the crown, a squad of the Badgers was sent under their captain to ensure the safety of our people. Though no details have been forthcoming about what the venture entailed, Daryl Shieldbreaker, the aforementioned captain, has called it an unequivocal success. Captain Shieldbreaker went on to say that he would be recommending further such ventures. "These elves are not our enemy. They acknowledge that their former land has wronged every other race and they are eager to work with us to prevent any further harm and make up for what was done".
