Mistaken Arrest
In a surprising development, the person arrested in relation to the rash of intoxicant related deaths volunteered for a truth ritual. During this magically assisted interrogation it was proved that he did not supply the substances that are known to have killed 67 people. It was also confirmed that he knew nothing of the sample of leaves found in his base of operations. Eager to escape the punishment likely to be imposed on anyone associated with these deaths, all of the arrestees volunteered for the interrogation. While a great deal of information was obtained about the darker side of the city, including the notorious exchange, all of them proved to be ignorant about the leaves found in their hideout. In order to alleviate any suspicions of foul play on the part of the guards, the lieutenant in charge of the arrest was subjected to interrogation along with his sergeants. This interrogation showed that the guards acted in good faith.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Inquisitor Hyther, had this to say, 'Although our investigation into the numerous deaths is ongoing, thanks to the stirling efforts of the guard a large number of criminals are now in custody. Rest assured that the guard will not stop until those responsible for so many deaths have been apprehended'.
