Drapheb Voiks
An exceptionally large type of caravan used by hobgoblin spellcasters when they travel with an army. They are primarily found in the Savage Lands apart from when the hobgoblins go to war in the south. They were created to provide spellcasters with a place they can continue to study even while on the march, and provide additional protection for the spellcasters who are much harder to replace than regular soldiers. They are also designed to serve as a moblie headquarters when on a campaign.
Crafting
Though constructed of wood, both the wheels and the main structure show no sign of gaps between planks or even the different parts of the wheels. While it may be possible for the elves to grow something like this, the hobgoblins make use use of Voikorok Sap to attach each piece of the caravan together. In addition to reducing gaps and ensuring those inside are not disturbed by the freezing winds of the savage lands, this reduces the amount of supports needed. Each of the larger warbands have their own Drapheb Voik and the crafters of these bands compete to create the bests designs. While having an exceptional version of one of these caravans can bring a warband a certain amount of prestige it can also provoke attacks from those wishing to take it (or the crafter) as a trophy.Interior
The inside is divided into a sleeping chamber, a study room, and a dining area which doubles as a war room. While casters a re afforded the protection of these caravans, the chambers themselves tend to be plain, with simple furnture and the only decorations being warbanners. While the casters will mostly be easting food prepared outside by other members of the warband, water and rations are carried inside incase the caravan becomes besieged. Spellcasting components, weapons and ammunition are also carried inside for the same reason.Propulsion
These caravans are pulled by domesticated mammoths, assisted by teams of ogres when the terrain is likely to cause problems. The number of wheels varies depending on the wealth of the warband, and the skill of their crafter, but is typically 4 or 6. The caravan uses an ingenious set of springs to reduce the amount of bumps those inside experience as they frequently travel over rough terrain. While the driver of the caravan can set the brakes on the wheels, there are also controls inside the caravan which allow those inside to lock the wheels so they can't be dragged away by enemies.
Armor and defense
The caravan's primary defence is the army it normally travels this. Should this be bypassed, thick wooden walls and magical wards devised by the warband's spellcasters prevent attackers from getting inside. There are then covered areas at the top of the caravan while provide a convient place for either casters or archers to target the attackers.
