Peaceful Night

A group tasked with suppressing any information about Ixalsthic's activities.

Assets

By making use of the imperial family's personal funds Ixalsthic was able to ensure this group was well funded without being detected. Buildings were bought across the empire to serve as bases and there was gold aplenty for bribery and the purchase of equipment.

History

When Ixalsthic started manipulating the leaders of Trem they found that far too many random events could lead to discovery. The wrong servant arriving at an inopportune time could lead to an unfortunate mess or discovery. To reduce the amount of cleanup they needed to do themselves, Ixalsthic used some of the imperial family's resources to put together this group.
I'm worried that Julian Peral may have some nightmares thanks to an overly active imagination. Please ensure he has a peaceful night's rest untroubled by such dreams
Members were hired from all over the empire and organised in small groups known as tendrils. Each tendril worked alone and at times were set against each other if Ixalsthic suspected a group had grown a bit loose-lipped.   The group managed to keep Ixalsthic's presence a secret from the public for decades, with only the rulers of the neighbouring nations aware of it. The group had been so succesful that even after Ixalsthic was killed, the civil war that followed was just blamed on the competing factions rather than being a result of Ixalsthic's absence.

Disbandment

With no link between the tendrils beyond Ixalsthic's orders the group fell apart after their death. Several tendrils sold their services to the competing factions and ended up working against each other. Some others left to seek employment outside Trem, but a few laid low and found demand for their skills after the war.
