Tavern Tales 2

It has often been said that the one thing that can unite us is a common enemy, and just this week I saw the proof of it. A united front in that most divided of places, Mikel's town. And what was this common enemy? Orcs, Giants, or demons. No, it was something much worse, elves. And not attacking from the outside the town's walls, but from within. As you already know, the gates are closely guarded to keep out undesirables, but sadly some such are deemed necessary by various groups in the city. One such are the hypocrites of Tarin who preach justice, but bring foul betrayers like the elves into our town. Yes it was none other than Wesley so called Orcbane who granted them entry.   This was reported to that staunch defender of our town, Captain Hugh Tamrin, who began organising a force to drive out the evil creatures. But though he had the might of the Steel guard at his disposal, how could he risk a fight that could harm the people of the town he was sworn to protect. Fortunately Lord Drak had a solution. An offer, playing to the elves selfishness. As they planned their response, word arrived that the elves were scouting out the house of Captain Tamrin's brother Abel.   Despite the risks to himself, Captain Tamrin went to deliver the offer in person. A brief amnesty, whereby the elves would be allowed to leave alive if they did so at once. And to reinforce the seriousness of this offer was that unprecedented show of unity. With the Dogs standing beside the Bounders, and the Scythes with the Halfpints. It was a force to be reckoned with, something even the elves acknowledged, capitulating to our lords demands. They were escorted out of town, through a corridor of steel.   It is as yet unknown what the punishment for the blood traitor Wesley will be, but rest assured, his actions will not be overlooked.
