The Island Goddess

The constellation for Zaria is a quite simple but ultimately very unique constellation. It was first called ‘the island queen’ because it is best visible under The Island of Zafar, but was renamed after the island goddess Zaria because she is said to rule over the island and protect the creatures living there. The constellation has 13 stars in it total, and it may not look like much, but many can clearly see her standing in the night sky. The constellation itself has mostly white dwarf stars and blue giant stars. It isn’t visible from many places, but it comes in clear as crystal over the lush Zafar island. Many sailors on the western hemisphere use it to avoid the strange creatures that dwell near the island. Other use it as a way to fish for unique and expensive fish. The constellation looks like the goddess Zaria standing peacefully with her hands folded together tucked into her sleeves. She wears a ceremonial robe that is long enough to cover her entire form. Many people use the constellation to prove her existence, but others claim it’s merely a coincidence, or that the goddess was created from the constellation. There is an old legend that says the constellation is really her, watching over her island and life, and the constellation leaves the sky when she’s needed most. No one can prove this theory, but many people believe that she exists up there, looking down on the island. Many people go to the island just to see the constellation and offer something personal. Many present one of their own crystals. It is a very spiritual experience.
