The Island of Zafar

The Island of Zafar is home to many diverse flora and fauna. Many species found of the island aren’t found anywhere else. There are very large creatures as well as very small.

Zafar is a place only accessible by boat, and there are no settlements on the whole island, and it isn’t ruled by and of The Five Royal Families. They argued over who would own it, until one of the kings suggested that no one own it, and no one build on it. There are few small homes, but no towns or villages to be seen. Many people go to live there to feel closer to nature and the planet they live on. It is a very spiritual place to some, and a potential hunting ground to others.

The animals there won’t attack a person unless they feel provoked. Many of them are herbivores, and would not attack someone even if they went hungry.

The surrounding coast is also filled with many diverse sea life, as the water surrounding the island is high in minerals. There are many small fish burred in the weeds, and many large fish swimming around the area, almost as if they protect it.

Many people associate the island with a protector, many feel there is a guardian spirit watching over the island. All who believe in the spirit know her to be named Zaria, and all who choose to live there meditate and pay homage to her in the form of prayer and planting flowers in the forests.

Zaria has been watching over the island, as the legend goes, and she’s the reason the kings never laid claim to her land. She persuaded them to keep the land sacred and untouched by rule. She has kept her island safe for years, and won’t let anything bad happen to it in the future.
