Douxie Casperan (Dukes - zee)

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Douxie is tall, and has sleek, straight black hair with indigo streaks (which, in the past, he wore in a top knot bun, and he regretted it immensely in the future). If looked closely, he has a small scar on his left hand, over his thumb area. He wears an enchanted bracelet on his left wrist, which he uses to cast his spells (in the past, his bracelet was short, but over the 900 years since, it takes up the majority of his forearm).   When angered or provoked, his hazel eyes glow bright bright blue, similar to his magic, which is sky blue. Covering most of his torso, both his arms, and partly up the right side of his neck are a cluster of tattoos. His tattoos sometimes lit up the color of his magic when using powerful spells.

Apparel & Accessories

In his present attire, he wears a black sweatshirt, gray jeans, and black high-tops. He also wears a skull-shaped necklace around his neck and wristbands (two on his right side and a watchband, disgusing his charm bracelet, on his left).   In his medieval Camelot attire, Douxie wears a long-sleeved blue tunic rolled up to the elbows with a hooded dark brown leather vest over it. He wears two belts over his vest and brown pants with knee high boots, and wears two bracelets on his right wrist.

Claire Nuñez

  Douxie and Claire seem to see each other as good friends. In spite of Douxie almost always flirting with her while she blushes at his good looks and giggles at his banter (much to Jim's jealousy), she merely sees him as a good friend as her heart belongs to Jim. Douxie encourages Claire and her friends to participate in the Battle of the Bands, despite the fact that his band will be crushing it.   In Wizards, the two grow closer as friends when they get lost in time. Douxie understands that Claire is afraid of her newfound shadow powers, fearing of becoming much like Morgana, and even blames herself for Jim getting injured. He tells her that she's not Morgana, and what happened to Jim was not her fault as there was nothing she could've done. Despite having no such experience with dark magic, he teaches Claire how to create shadow portals and make the Shadow Magic her own without the need of the Shadow Staff and other magicks.   In "Dragon's Den", it is revealed that Douxie sees Claire as a sister he never had and, much like a brother and sister, they do take friendly jabs at each other.  
Jim Lake Jr.
In Trollhunters, Jim and Douxie have little interactions, but Jim expresses clear jealousy towards Douxie whenever he charms his girlfriend, Claire. Douxie seems to mutually respect Jim, yet is probably unaware of Jim whenever he's in a jealous streak (or even takes any offense).   In Wizards, however, it is learned that Jim used to hang out in the cafe Douxie works at, and Douxie (in turn) appreciated how he always tipped. Jim grows to trust him when he assists Claire in helping him escape Camelot and King Arthur, along with the rest of the trolls.   He learns from Merlin that, once Jim returns to the present, the shard will proceed to corrupt Jim and there's no known way to stop it. Douxie is clearly shocked and saddened to learn of this, but understands that Jim can't stay in the past any longer. Right before returning home, however, Douxie solemnly vows to Jim himself that he'll find a way to help free him from the Green Knight's spell and restore his humanity. When Douxie leaves Arcadia to protect Nari from the Arcane Order, he promises Jim and the others that he'll return to visit them soon.   In "Dragon's Den", Douxie sees Jim as a brother (along with Steve), despite knowing him for just a short time.   In Rise of the Titans, the two begin to interact more often, implying that the two are truly brothers. Douxie often shows concern for Jim's well-being as he's aware he's been through a lot, and after what King Arthur and the Order did to Jim, it really traumatized him. After Jim defeats Bellroc and decides to use the Time Stone to go back and fix everything, Douxie cautions Jim to be careful with his future knowledge if he time-travels (from personal experience), if events will happen differently, it could possibly lead them to another bad outcome since they've only barely managed to save the world. That aside, Douxie hopes to one day meet Jim again in the new timeline.  
Steve Palchuk
It is clear that Douxie and Steve are close friends and know each other. When Steve learns that Douxie is a wizard, he isn't at all surprised, considering his experience with other supernatural activities in Arcadia. When they get lost in time, Steve assists Douxie in his quests to restore the future and making sure history goes as planned. Although Douxie is clearly annoyed by Steve's insolence, he tries to treat him at best and understands that everything he does is well-meaning.   In "Dragon's Den" it is revealed that Douxie views Steve as a brother (along with Jim and Claire), despite his ego, and when Douxie is injured from his fight against the Arcane Order, Steve is by his side to help him up.  
Krel Tarron
Along though they don't interact very much, they seem to get along with each other. After Douxie returns from his quest to find the seals, he finds that Krel is the only one of his friends that is left behind and quickly runs to help him. When Douxie is then faced with the tough choice between rescuing the rest of his newfound friends or saving the world, even though they just met, Krel sympathizes with Douxie, as Douxie's choice parallels his and Aja's choice at the end of 3Below. Krel attempts to offer up advice, but in the end, Douxie ends up not choosing and instead comes up with the idea of creating a device that is a cross between Akiridion tech and wizard magic with Krel's help, in hopes of saving both their friends and the world.   Despite Krel's somewhat stubborn and arrogant nature, he comments on the compatibility of Akiridion technology and magic, which suggests that he not only respects Douxie as a leader, but his skill for wizardry. As Jim prepares to change the timeline in Rise of the Titans, Krel embraces Douxie and the two smile as they hope to meet again in the new timeline, indicating that they have become close friends.  
Aja Tarron
Aja and Douxie technically first met when she and her boyfriend, Steve, went on a date together at the end of "There's Something About Gwen (of Gorbon)". Douxie serves them a Sweetheart Milkshake with two straws. When he says "bon appetite", Aja misunderstands and thinks there are bones in the shake, confusing Douxie, but he merely shrugs it off and leaves the couple alone.   Later on, they briefly interact with each other in "Luug's Day Out" when Aja is looking for Luug (who has swallowed a prototype wormhole generator). He wishes he could help her search for her missing dog, but he is unable to, due to his work in the shop. He offers to see her future by reading her palm and notices that she has been on "big trips".  
King Arthur (formerly)
It is mentioned that King Arthur would've ended Douxie's life, due to the potential threat of the young boy's magical heritage, only if Merlin had not taken him in to spare his life from the king's sword. Despite that, Douxie looks up to the king mutually as an important figure, yet he deeply despises how he treats innocent magical creatures (including Jim, who is part troll).   When Douxie learns that the king and the Green Knight are one and the same, Douxie is shocked and disgusted by what the king has become, especially after he remorselessly kills his mentor in cold-blood.  
Toby Domzalski
Along though they don't Interact very much, they seem to get along with each other and to be good allies. Douxie was saddened after Toby's death when he helped Jim defeat Bellroc.  
AAARRRGGHH!!!
Douxie and AAARRRGGHH! don't interact very much but they seem to be good allies. In Rise of the Titans, the two begins to interact with each other more, especially when the two, along with Nomura, are battling Nari's titan.  
Blinky Galadrigal
Douxie and Blinky don't interact very much but they seem to be good allies.  
Darci Scott and Mary Wang
In "The Eternal Knight: Part 1", Douxie saves Mary and Darci from two Gumm-Gumms and they look at him in awe.  
Zoe
As two wizards living in Arcadia, Zoe and Douxie know each other for that very fact and have the shops they work right next door to each other. In "Wizard Underground", Zoe is revealed to know Douxie's true name when Douxie brought the Guardians of Arcadia to Zoe's second work place, Hex Tech where she scolds him for not meeting up with her like they had agreed to, and didn't like the fact that Douxie had brought his boss with him.   It is unknown if their relationship still exists due to Zoe's absence in Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.  
Nari
Douxie and Nari are friends and get along with each other. Douxie will do anything to protect Nari from the Arcane Order from them to bring an end to the world of Man. He wanted to continue hiding Nari from the Order, but Nari was tired of constantly fleeing and tells Douxie "no more running" as their friends help them to fight the Arcane Order. When Douxie came close to losing Nari to Bellroc, he casts a spell that has him and Nari swap bodies to buy the world time, while knowing that the Guardians of Arcadia will look after her.   Douxie was devastated after Nari sacrifices herself to end Skrael and prevent the Titans from uniting... only to learn that Bellroc never needed Nari nor Skrael, but intended on uniting with the Heartstone and turn the Earth into a lava land, therefore making Nari's death in vain.  
Nomura
Their relationship is unknown, only to say, that in Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, Douxie was clearly saddened when Nomura was killed trying to help him stop a brainwashed Nari.  

Enemies

Arcane Order
Douxie fears and despises the Arcane order for how they operate. After they killed Merlin when he failed to rescue Nari, he despises them even more.  
Morgana (formerly)
As students of Merlin, Douxie knew Morgana, though the two barely interacted and just treated each other mutually. He is also undoubtedly aware that she would fall into a dark path and become one of the most feared witches in history, the Pale Lady.   Douxie was surprised to learn that Morgana had sided with the Guardians of Arcadia and saw her one last time, alongside their master, Merlin, in the borders of the afterlife. He was sad to see that Morgana had fallen, though was touched by how she indirectly complimented him, showing pride and approval in her junior and entrusting the future of the world to Douxie (and the rest of the Guardians of Arcadia) and to carry on the legacy of Magic in the Age of Man.

Family Ties

Merlin

You've disrupted time, freed ancient beasts, fought to save one life at the risk of countless others, because you believed every life was precious. And still... despite such relentless hardships, you managed to protect those dearest to you. My, Hisirdoux, what a life you've lived. What a wizard you've become.”

  Merlin is Douxie's adoptive father and master in the art of magics. It is mentioned that Merlin took Douxie in and raised him to prevent any harm coming to the young wizard-in-training due to King Arthur's ban on magic.   During his time in Camelot, Douxie's wish was to prove to his master that he's worthy of wielding his own staff and becoming a master wizard. Although he doesn't really show it, Merlin believes that his pupil will have what it takes to become a master one day. More often than not, Douxie's reckless tendencies to try and fix everything tends to get on Merlin's nerves and he scorns his mishaps.   When Douxie learns from Nimue that Merlin was the one who trapped her in her own lake after she helped Arthur retrieve Excalibur, Douxie was astounded that his mentor would do such a thing. Wanting to fix Merlin's mistakes, he frees Nimue, proving that, while he does still deeply care about his master, he understands that some of his actions are not honorable.   In "Wizard Underground", Merlin's death at the hands of Arthur hit Douxie hard as he felt lost without his mentor's guidance. Thanks to Charlemagne and Archie, Douxie eventually learns to let go of Merlin and accept the family he still has, who now look up to him to lead. When he meets with Merlin's spirit, Merlin tells him how proud he was of his pupil becoming the master wizard he is, and he didn't even need his acceptance to understand the importance of his dream. Merlin encourages Douxie to stay behind carry on his legacy for the Age of Man, while both he and Morgana leave the world behind to end the Age of Magic.  
Archie
Archie is Douxie's familiar. They two are quite close during their centuries together, and trust each other through thick and thin. Archie often reprimands and questions Douxie's decisions but nonetheless, remains by his side. When Douxie fell from the Arcane Order's Fortress in Our Final Act, Archie was relieved when he moved and said to "never do that again". In Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, when Douxie hears of Archie being trapped in TrollDragon Market, Douxie becomes clearly disturbed.  
Past Self
Douxie clearly hated his past self (the self he used to be during his time in 12th century Camelot), seeing him as an incompetent and stammering apprentice with a man-bun, which he regretted wearing immensely.

History

Marishca was being held captive as a sex slave by Vlad. Douxie couldn't stand to see her being used in such a manner and rescued her, much to Archie's argument. Once rescued, she attempted to sleep with him due to how she was treated. This caused their relationship to be tense for a while as Douxie wasn't interested in her and Marishca needed to relearn so much.   They traveled together for a few months before she received a letter telling her to return home. She left Douxie, but not before kissing his cheek and telling him she'll see him again someday.   Since then, 400 years has passed for Douxie whereas 40 days have passed for Marishca.
