The Ten Hands

In the early days of the Raja'ri, warband leaders and warchiefs alike would die often, and more often brutaly at the hands of internal and external rivals both. And from those deaths came forth the concept of The Ten Hands. A pair of highly skilled individuals that serve the Warchiefs as consultants, intellegence agents, or whatever skills their Warchief need brought to the table. Most importantly, they are bodyguards to their Warchief.   The Ten Hands, The Right Hand and The Left Hand, are the metaphorical (sometimes literal) position of power given to two individuals of one of the Five Clans by their respective Warchief to serve as their personal bodyguards. No Warchief uses or agrees on the same parameters used to select their Left and Right Hands, but the Warchiefs agree on one single premise when they select their Hands: They are not looking for the best candidate, they are looking for the right candidate.   And those that have heard of, look upon, or personally met a past or present Warchief knows that the chiefs themselves are often highly skilled martially, magically, politically, or spiritually, must often ask themselves... What can these people do that they impressed a Warchief?
