The banners of Lord Bastion Holt ride for his keep, Arckon's Hold, overlooking the southwestern coasts to pay their leader their respects, as word has spread of his son's death. But Holt also knows he is now without an heir and he is beyond his years to sire another. Due to advanced age and failing health he desires to name his successor from one of his bannermen. Of which many of their heirs or an envoy answer the call as there are few living or able-bodied members of the Silver Shields remaining, save for one, the Hill Dwarf, Cadlym Bolluln, whom had grown close to and fond of Holt during his twilight years.
