During the 13th century, the Order began an aggressive inquisition against various minority groups, most notably immigrants from Aitrun.     A few Warrior Priest and Knightly orders were under attack as well under the suspicion of heresy.   The first execution took place on the morning of 1207.04.23., when one of the groundskeepers of the Lagburg Cathedral was found guilty of Chaos sorcery. After that, the number of trials rapidly increased as more and more 'heretics' were discovered throughout the empire.   During this period, the Order recruited a lot of people to be inquisitors and to carry out the executions. The majority of the accused were tortured or otherwise coerced into admitting their guilt. These could last up to a few years of perpetual torment until the accused were broken.   Those who were found guilty were then systematically broken into gear (or wheel).   The full body-count of the inquisition is measured in the tens of thousands, making a noticeable dent in the Westatoran population.   The Inquisition came to an end in 1281, when the newly anointed Probare spoke out against it.
