Divine Origin Amenominakanushi (a.k.a. 天之御中主神)

Summary

Amenominakanushi is thought of as the being who originally brought all of what mortals know as creation into existence. Along with Amatsu-Mikaboshi, she is one of two beings known to have existed before Izanagi-no-Mikoto and Izanami-no-Mikoto, both of whom she personally created to watch over what she had wrought.
Despite her hand in the genesis of all that is, Amenominakanushi does not often actively participate in the affairs of the world. This is largely because of her own nature, that of endless emptiness and the nothingness that existed before things were, which devours normal matter ravenously upon contact. Thus, she is held at bay by Izanagi for the good of all creation, trapped in a plane beyond even Takamagahara itself.
Still, some humans hear the whispers of Amenominakanushi in the darkness, and are drawn to her worship and the forbidden power it represents. It is though that, should her servants ever number enough to finally release her from Izanagi's prison, she would unconsciously destroy all of existence with her presence. Not out of any maliciousness or hatred of that which she had created, but simply because it is her nature to do so.

Temple Bonuses

A province with a temple to Amenominakanushi is leached of supernatural power and left as a blind spot where abilities beyond normal perception cease to properly function. As such, all spells cast in the province have their Zeon total immediately decreased, Ki users have all their accumulations reduced, and psychic powers achieve lower levels of difficulties in manifesting their powers, all of which incur the normal consequences. If a spell's Zeon is reduced below the minimum for that particular spell, it vanishes without effect, and the invested Zeon is wasted. Characters with at least 20 Elan invested in blessings from Amenominakanushi may ignore this effect.

Temptation: Those who worship Amenominakanushi inherit some of her dark temptation, causing them to be inexplicably sexually enticing. Regardless of their appearance, the bearer of this gift is attractive to those sexually interested in his or her gender. If a theoretical relationship between the two characters would be forbidden, this ability functions even more strongly, and may develop into an obsession on the part of the affected.

Touch of Pleasure: The bearer of this gift can impart pleasure to others with a single touch. Skin contact with the holder is considered to be pleasurable to sentient creatures regardless of the situation.

Forbidden Promise: The holder's voice carries promises of dark, forbidden pleasures. They receive a special bonus to their Persuasion secondary ability equal to their total Elan level with Amenominakanushi.

Sense Desire: A character with this gift is able to sense desire and longing in others and, to a limited extent, determine their origins.

Psychological Immunity: Upon reaching this level of worship with Amenominakanushi, a character forsakes a large part of their humanity, and become largely cold and emotionless. As such, they are completely immune to any effect that would control or alter their emotions or actions.

Pluck Feeling: The bearer of this gift may selectively wipe away a specific feeling from a touched subject's consciousness. In order for this ability to function, the target must be willing or subconsciously wish to be rid of the feeling. Once destroyed, that emotion will never be felt by the subject again.

Passivity: Amenominakanushi's essence lives in the eyes of the bearer, causing anyone who looks into them to temporarily lose their own will. A target who does so must immediately make an MR check with a difficulty equal to twice the holder's total Elan level with Amenominakanushi. Upon a failure, the character may no longer take any active action or move under their own power. This effect lasts until the bearer of this gift leaves the presence of those affected.

Suppression: The bearer's closeness to the void allows them to neutralize actions performed by those around them. As such, they may choose to, as a passive action, cancel an active action being performed by another individual during the same turn. If the target fails at an MR check with a difficulty equal to twice the holder's total Elan level with Amenominakanushi, they are unable to perform that action, but take all penalties as if they did. If the action was an attack, they may not perform another attack in the same round. This ability may be used once per day for every 10 Elan points the holder has with Amenominakanushi.

Transition to Emptiness: Upon reaching this level of synchronization with the void, the bearer of this gift is no longer alive or dead, and exists in a state between existence and nothingness. As such, they cannot be killed by normal means. No amount of physical injury, no matter the severity, will end their life, and they become completely immune to spells or effects which directly cause death. Effects which target the soul, as well as weapons or creatures with a presence of at least twice the bearer's total Elan level with Amenominakanushi ignore this ability and may kill the character normally. Vortex: By accepting Amenominakanushi's essence fully into their body, the holder of this gift temporarily transforms into a vortex of nothingness, a hole in existence itself that devours all matter around it. This produces an effect equivalent to the level 90 Void spell from the Path of Destruction, cast at base Zeon value. This ability lasts for five turns, during which time the user is completely invincible to all effects, positive or negative, and may be used once per day for every 10 total Elan points the bearer has with Amenominakanushi.

Void: The chosen of Amenominakanushi becomes a nexus of nothingness that affects all around them. Within a 100-mile radius, creativity fades, people stop having dreams, and inspiration ceases to flow. After being exposed for a full week, all affected individuals lose their sense of self and have their souls devoured by the void, becoming empty husks which obey the chosen's every command. Creatures with a Gnosis of at least 35 are immune to this ability.
