Karō, Ginzan-Daimyō
(a.k.a. 道範, Hayashi Narinaga, 林就長)
The lord of Iwami-Ginzan Silver Mine, lord of Aka-jō, and an ancient "Civilized" Oni preceding even Mōri Motonari. Dōhan's influence is equal to the Mōri Daimyō's in some circles, although he does not share her ambition, and is rarely coaxed into action. Largely, he spends his time at his castle and the Iwami-Ginzan Silver Mine. Indeed, his obsession with the place is such that others in the clan have whispered that they have dug up more than silver in the mine's depths.
Hayashi Narinaga, as he was originally called, possesses great magic beyond what may be accomplished even with oni mysticism. His children, Zenuemon and Jirōuemon, also hold great supernatural power within them. Motonari, in deference to the Clan Elder's seniority, has not dug deeply into what the origin of these abilities might be. Even she, most practical and cunning of the Mōri, balks at giving the Hayashi Family orders unless absolutely necessary.
