Summary

Originally the daughter of a lowly cook, the girl who would become Hōjō Ujimitsu caught her Clan Daimyō's eye due to her intimate knowledge of Odawara Castle. A sprawling, labyrinthine place that might as well be several castles strung together, it's thought that even Hōjō Ujiyasu himself doesn't know every secret passage or cranny. Ujimitsu, however, kept showing up in unexpected places. After giving her some time with the drill instructors, Ujiyasu determined that the girl showed enough promise to be adopted as one of his multitudinous daughters.
Now, Hōjō Ujimitsu faithfully guards Odawara Castle. She can't be every place at once, but her knowledge of backways and passages sometimes makes it seem as though she is. Now growing close to adulthood, despite her small stature, she's often assigned to guard important valuables or visiting people of interest. Faithful, smart, and loyal, those who know Ujimitsu well would call her only flaws a blind dedication to duty and something of a complex about her height.
