Kyōdō Shinsaburō

Lead Vocals for Parapara Starlight

Heartthrob Kyōdō Shinsaburō (a.k.a. 響堂 心三郎)

Summary

Kyōdō Shinsaburō is the Man with the Velvet Voice; the lead vocalist of Japan's first(?) boy band, Parapara Starlight. As handsome as he is popular, he seems to be perfect in almost every way imaginable. Whenever he sings, however, tears stream down his face without end, as though some anguish deep within himself is inexorably released. When asked about this strange phenomenon, Shinsaburō is famous for answering with only a sad smile.   With his childhood friend, Akuhara Omenosuke, Shinsaburō founded Parapara Starlight in 1557. It took some time, but they eventually picked up a guitarist (Kaichi), a bassist (Daimaru Keita), and a drummer (Uchiue Akira). Now, they tour Japan and bring delight to warriors and maidens alike with their heartfelt lyrics and advanced musical techniques.   Shinsaburō himself has been noted as saying that he hopes to bring peace to the country with his songs, but he hasn't yet been able to effect any change in the turmoil around him. Even so, when he sings, people start to believe. There's something about his voice that makes it impossible for their minds to focus on anything else.
