Where No Man May Harm a Cat
A small hamlet only a few miles southwest of The Enchanted Wood, easily reached by following the river. The people of Ulthar are friendly and surprisingly Earth-normal for Dreamfolk. They only ask that you do not kill a cat during your stay. This is certainly a specific request, but the Cats of Ulthar are intelligent, wise, and good beings who aid travelers against the darker powers of the Dreamlands. Anyone who disobeys the request and harms a cat vanishes quite promptly afterward.
