Petty King
Requirements
The Petty King of Hessa must be of noble birth and of familial relation to the previous holder. Rather than choosing the oldest son of the petty king as the heir, the youngest is instead chosen in an ultimogeniture system of succession.
Appointment
The petty king rises to this rank through a coronation ceremony in which he is crowned by the royal orator, the closest advisor to the petty king, in front of an audience of the lesser nobility of Hessa.
Responsibilities
The petty king must watch over his realm and his people while enforcing the laws created under his supervision by his cabinet of advisors.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The petty king may be removed upon discovery of treason or if a majority of the advisors to the petty king believe his laws/ideals are not beneficial to the nation and therefore believe he must be replaced.
