Queen of the Fey
Requirements
The Queen of the Fey must be of a species related to the Fey, typically a dryad, and must be chosen by the Wispmother in order to attain this title.
Appointment
The Fey Queen chosen by the Wispmother to fulfill the role of Queen upon the death of the previous Queen. As the queen may die at any point in the year and the Wispmother only awakens at one point, there are often times in which there is no queen. In these times, the council of the Eternal Forest takes up the duties of the Queen. There is no idea of dynastic succession or hereditary succession in the Eternal Forest. Upon her succession, the queen must drink the purest sap from the Wispmother's Oak, symbolizing her transition into a figure of holy and political power.
Responsibilities
The queen of the Fey and the Eternal Forest presides over and is responsible for the safety of the countless races and creatures that live in the Eternal Forest and the Forest’s Edge.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
The Fey Queen can never be dismissed, unless she is killed, due to her inherent blessing to rule by the Wispmother.
