Transmission & Vectors
The illness is thought to be transmitted through physical contact due to the coughing of those affected by it. There are some theories that state the illness is magical in nature and therefore spreads through magical use.
Causes
bacterial infection (moderately contagious)
Symptoms
fragile bones, oozing sores, nausea, organ ruptures.
Treatment
Treating the disease is difficult and incorrect treatments may worsen the disease. Other than magical means, no cure is known. A mixture of poppy and juniper seems to aid the pain, but doesn't aid in stopping the illness.
Prognosis
The condition is almost always fatal unless the patient is able to receive magical care.
Sequela
After contracting this condition, the victims body is greatly weakened, leading to them having an easier time getting sick. The victim's bones also weaken even if they survive, leading to a loss of strength.

All groups are affected by this illness.
Hosts & Carriers
Carriers of the illness include fleas, birds, and livestock.
Prevention
The only way to prevent contracting the illness is to avoid public places.
Epidemiology
The starting points are locations of high activity and poor hygiene.
History
The first recorded case occurred during the Rift War after villagers drank from a contaminated water supply. The illness wiped out the village, but did no further harm. This is the illness' first appearance since.
