Apprentice
Of the lowest rank in a guild is the Apprentice.
He or she will formally be addressed with his guild specification and the word apprentice: Smiths-Apprentice, Harpers-Apprentice or Traders-Apprentice
Equally as common is the address via rank followed by the guild or the reverse. The format used depends soley on what might sound better to the ears of the speaker. Apprentice-Smith, Apprentice-Trader, respectively Smith-Apprentice, Trader-Apprentice and so forth.
The name of an apprentice will be used only in the most formal situations if a differentiation between various individuals is needed. In that case, the usage is guild-apprentice-name
i.e. Smiths-Apprentice Keelan.
Only within his guild, by friends or in fairly informal settings will an apprentice be just called via his rank and name. So Apprentice Keelan will only be used thus.
Addressing an apprentice by rank only is not considered rude or a sign of lacking respect.
In fact, it is often seen as being more respectful to be addressing a person by guild-rank only as it indicates that this person is somewhat considered a representative of the guild at this time.
