All the craftsmen guilds have a specific nomenclature for ranking their members.
It is based on the skill level, experience and various completed tests of the individual.
The most basic ones are in general use and will be most common when addressing a guild member.
The lowest rank is the Apprentice. An apprentice will formally be addressed with his guild and the word apprentice. Smiths-Apprentice, Harpers-Apprentice or Traders-Apprentice and so forth. The name of an apprentice in the most formal situations or if a differentiation between various individuals is needed, in that case, the usage is guild-apprentice- name
The medium rank is Journeyman or journeywoman. The man or woman will be substituted for a race-specific word if needed. The formal address is the title-guild-name; a more informal one is just the title-name.
So it would be Journeywoman Smith Tolderia or Journeywoman Tolderia.
The highest regular rank is that of Master
also mastercraftsman, in regular usage, it is just master.
The use is either title-name without a guild fixed to it or it is guild-title-name. So it could be, Mastercraftsman Alrik or Smithmaster Alrik or even Master Alrik.
Finally, the highest-ranking master in a given area is always spoken to with just the title-guild combination with no name added. It is not really a title but an honorific.
So Mastertrader, Mastersmith etc. If a higher ranking master is present this honorary title is his and the local is spoken to as appropriate for his rank.
The Guilds of Magic do, overall, not use this nomenclature but have their own ranks. There are some exceptions to that especially when it comes to magic users who did not take their tests of qualification at one of the guild-approved institutions.
