Canidiae

Especially common in the moderate and colder climate zones there are several expressions of canine sentients. most commonly know are the Wolfen and the Vulpa. Currently, there are unconfirmed sightings of one or two other suspected species but nothing more than that and from those sightings and the reports received it might even be that those have just been a phenotypical adaptation of the two known species.

• The Wolfen earned their name because of the obvious stock they came from. In the last decades, it has become accepted knowledge and almost been proven factual that the Wolfen are an artificial species. This comes mostly from the analysis of their legends, myths and historical documents which all seem to indicate, that the body plan of their ancestors was changed significantly before their settlement on Turian's World. Whether or not this was in conjunction to, unrelated to, despite or in preparation of said settlement is currently debated.
  Perhaps the most controversial topic is the humanization of the species. As there are legends and myths indicating that the species was changed from a quadrupedal to a bipedal body build.

• The Vulpa opposed to the Wolfen are clearly another settled species. There is however no solid indication of them not being a naturally evolved species. What is without doubt thou is their classification as settled. Their legends and myths include stories about completely unknown animals, which alone would not be uncommon at all, but more important about a world with four moons and three suns. Even today their calendar is based upon the cycles that were generated on this basis.
  Also, they do have some legends about their ancestors travelling to Turian's World on a great many ships.
