A humanoid species can be classed as such if it fulfils most of the following criteria:
the body plan is built around four extremities that can be classed as arms, legs or wings
the body has a two-sided build, a front and a back
the species is either always bipedal or can use bipedal movement for extended periods of time.
the species is warmblooded
The species procreates sexually
Very well known humanoid races include the Humans, Feytarii, Drachon and the Dalvion.
The category of humanoid species often also includes various species that have evolved or been designed not from primate but from other stock.
Some examples are the Lizardmen or the Draconii, as well as the various races that derive from Felidae or Canidae.
