Harper

Harpers are a profession that has made the fine arts, especially music its trade. All over Turian harpers not only entertain people at fairs, in ruling houses as single artists, ensembles or full orchestras.

They also educate the people via song, play, poetry or story. Harpers are the teachers as well as often filling other posts, from judge to librarian it might well depend on their talent in the fine arts. In general, harpers are well educated and very well respected.

To become and call yourself a harper one must take extensive oaths and be a sworn member of The Harpers of Turian, a guild tasked with the spreading of information, keeping records and educating the people. Harpers may be found all over Turian and for sure are often the only source of knowledge in a remote area when it comes to the wider world.

However, even a harper has his limits and is still a mortal being.

In some nations and areas it has become custom to call a Harper a Herold.
