Additional Information
Social Structure
Leonir have a quite interesting social structure.
The core unit of their society is a pride. Said pride consists of three to seven females with their young.
The pride also hosts a number of adult males, one of which is the only male allowed to speak for the pride and are often the only male allowed to have offspring.
The other males are, most of the time, descendants of that individual. After their ritual Of Age the are expected to leave the pride for another one. Until that time the serve the pride as hunters, warriors. They do not have any political power and their only rights are those granted by the females. The males juveniles and young adults do have their own hacking order which is constantly in flux due to the oldest always leaving the pride.
The females hold all power in a pride, politically and economically and thus in the nation. They form alliances, elect the various political bodies and own all land. In fact, they chose and dismiss the males to join their prides and dictate procreation.
Males are not allowed and do not care about possession of land or material things above their immediate needs such as food, weapons, armour and other basics. Males compete for positions in prides via combat and other competitions, as requested by the females of the pride, and death is not that uncommon in such events.
