After the death of Charlemagne in 814, the kingdom were divided and become small kingdoms. Unfortunately, they were attacked by Viking Explorers from Scandinavia. The Vikings destroyed towns, taking control of the kingdoms and once again united them with their own.

It was ruled by the Von Elden, who had a different name back then for over 900 years.
