Mechanics & Inner Workings

Servant cards contain small amounts of a servant's Saint Graph, or servantal essence. This small but significant amount of powerful magic allows for the cards to be used like spell scrolls. Instead of casting spells though, it instead imbues the user with some of the afformentioned servant's powers. This empowerment is very temporary, but is significant enough to provide notable advantages in combat. 
When a Servant card is used, its magic essence is drained. While it may be reused, it can only be regained via people with proper tooling, ability, and knowledge.

History

Developed by the mages and artificers of Gaia-Stella, Servant Cards were made in order to preserve and further study the powers of certain known servants.

Servant cards are a couple steps rarer than most spell scrolls. They are not sold in magic stores, as the knowledge needed to make and handle them are reserved for the mages of Gaia-Stella.

• Obtaining: Servant Cards can be obtained by expending Quest Points and rolling on the appropriate tables. They may occasionally be purchased or found in certain locations. Cards remain in your hand/inventory until usage.
• Usage: Using a card uses your Bonus Action. Their duration is usually listed in the tooltip. Once a card is used, it can't be used again until recharged.
