Tablets of communication work by synchronizing itself with other tablets and similar divination objects. By linking itself to a special magical frequency, text can be written on one tablet, and it will be perfectly replicated on all other tablets linked to the same frequency. Magical frequencies are determined by a simple crystal embedded on the tablet's front. For example, if a tablet with a sapphire crystal has a message written on it, all other tablets with sapphires will show the message.

History

The first tablet of communication was created by the Gaia-Stella Organization in tandem with their Trans-Planar Portal Project. It was made in order to address the issue of cross-planar communication, as the sending spell doesn't work when trying to communicate with creatures in a different plane.
