Mystletainn

Mystletainn, the bountiful forest and the heart of Streing's populace and the seat of Magnate Jartharber I's power.

Geography

The forest is vast, dense, and thriving. Its canopy is monopolized by alder, cypress, and fir, and occasional openings in their crowns allow plenty of light through for a collection of saplings to sprout in the crunchy layer of leaves below. Coiling climbing plants hold onto many trees, and a range of flowers bloom in claim quiet corners to enhance the otherwise homogeneous backdrop.

Fauna & Flora

Predators and prey in Mystletainn are typically pack and herd creatures - or at least, they are in Mystletainn. Wolves, drake packs, forest bison, and deer are common; it's rare to find any creatures in the forest which don't stick together as at least a pair.   Mystletainn is home to a rare breed of silkworm whose silk takes especially well to illusion magic.   The flora is bountiful and bright, with high-quality trees of many varieties, including darkwood. However, the Ruler's will to protect the people of the land also means there are no poisonous flora.
