Early Years
Aveniel is the daughter of a sailor and musician. Her father, before she was born thought he was going to drown at sea after his ship had capsized. Her father begged and pleaded to make it back to land, to see his love one more time. Aveniel was told numerous times by friends and family her father had been found washed ashore, seemingly alive, when all others aboard had been lost. Eventually, when Aveniel was born, she was born as other children are when pacts are made. Horns, red hue to her skin and black hair. Where others might have been scared or superstitious of her devil like appearance, to her father and mother she was symbol of their love. She was a symbol of their willingness to do anything to be together. She was well loved and cared for. As the years passed, Aveniel grew up well educated and learned to play the cello from her mother. Additionally Aveniel took vocal lessons in her spare time. While growing up, the tiefling would sing a shanty in the morning when she was waiting for her father to return from the sea. Every time her father came home, she greeted him at the door. Every time her father would say he felt himself being called home. Flying Solo
When she had grown older, Aveniel became a successful performer. She play performances at small venues, concerts and taught others in the musical arts. Over time, she was considered to bring good fortune to the ports. Among the locals, Aveniel was the siren that guided sailors and seafarers home. Whether her power was simply superstition or supernatural, she became a folk tale that sailors told each other of and her tale was passed on for years to come. After spending a handful of years touring the coasts and southern ports of Elleryn, she eventually started to lessen the amount of performances that she had. She felt herself growing tired of touring the coast. She believed it was from overworking herself, but eventually she came to accept it was from loss. Yet it was not any loss of her friends and family. After years of trying to bring good fortune and music to the southern coast she came to love, she realized that there were still those that would not return. For a time, Aveniel continued her performances, despite her own wishes for change. What she didn't know, a few months later she would have an encounter that would give her that chance for that change she hard been searching for. The Winds of the Four
In her later years, Aveniel had a chance encounter with a bard by the name of Viktor Marfyr. Viktor had congratulated Aveniel on her performance in a dingy tavern, in a port town south of Tarynhall. After a short conversation about music and it's importance to the port town, the two talked through the night. Near the end of their conversation, Viktor had rested his head for a but a moment and fell asleep mid conversation. The cello player had found Viktor quite interesting at the time and left him a note thanking him for the conversation and paid for his meal on her way out. Months later, Aveniel had received a correspondence from Viktor at her home. The letter had suggested meeting up with other musicians that Viktor had met during his travels and forming a troupe. At this point in Aveniel's life, this curious letter from someone she had met once was somehow very intriguing. For the first time in her life, she had felt drawn to something else. The idea of new horizons and experiences was enough for her. The next day she packed her bags, took a small part of her life savings and left for the city of Tarynhall to meet her new troupe.

Mental Trauma
Not many things had bothered Aveniel through her young life. Not her appearance, not her father being away at sea or the possibility of having a supernatural gift. The one thing that had bothered her and prodded the back of her mind was loss. When she performed her music at port towns hoping for the safe return of their sailors not everyone had returned safely. Aveniel remembers seeing the into the eyes of loved ones and children waiting for their family to return. On the rare occurrences they didn't, she remembers the hopelessness. It tugged at her heart and in those moments, Aveniel had felt their pain. Whether it was her empathy or because of her gift, these moments and the eyes of those people have stayed with her.
