Munir, the Shining City

he border city of Dren Konar, sorcerers, wizards and warlocks tend to congregate here. The arcanists provide protection for the border with their spells and ingenuity. There is a small infantry of dragonborn fighters and paladins that keep the peace in town as well. This town is the entry point for many traders, merchants and adventurers that come to Dren Konar. Munir stands as the trade hub of the dragonborn country.   When the Dragonborn were forced back during the War of the Elven Age and land locked onto the peninsula, they made due with what they had. After the war the dragonborn were humbled by their losses and started to rebuild their country and people from the ground up. This gave the dragonborn a more profound connection to deities that some of them had once forgotten and made them rekindle their interest in magic so that they could rebuild their once beautiful society.   After many years of rebuilding and many of them finding faith in Abberon, the Dragon of Light and they developed a paladin and cleric order. Many of the paladins travel and keep borders secure while the clerics learn to do many different jobs, like alchemy, blacksmithing and religious research. Shortly after many wizards, sorcerers and warlocks began to find means of using their magics to help benefit their society and the dragonborn became one of the more well versed races in terms of magic and its practical uses.   The border of Munir along Elleryn actually has magical towers that serve as turrets and signal beacons in times of war and many of these towers have teleportation sigils that allow fast travel from one place to another while doing border patrols. Many of these towers are outfitted with large enchanted crystals that launch fireball projectiles at targets when they are engaged in attack mode.   During their years of rebuilding, the dragonborn had to learn to develop new potion and alchemist recipes from the different herbs and resources that they had around them. With much of their previous tomes and texts on blacksmithing lost to them, they had to research into some of the dwarven tomes that were left with them during the war by their dwarven allies. This change in their society has led to a great respect for dwarven blacksmithing and architecture.
