Ceannasai Academy (Ken-ay-sigh)
At the Ceannasai Academy, students are guided through lessons, lectures, and debates so that they might become luminaries in business, government, or social development.
An institute designed to teach students to be luminaries in business, government, and social leadership in order to provide the country and empire with better leaders in the future. By providing students with critical thinking skills, solid leadership morals, as well as an understanding of basic psychology, social issues, and equality, it is hoped that the country can advance into the future in a way that all Uclandians can thrive.
The Academy is made from stone blocks tightly fitted together and constructed of wings. From a bird's eye view, the building would resemble a star with a central hub and arms radiating outward from the hub. The hub is capped by a copper roof and the wings have peaked roofs covered in clay tiles. All the exterior doors are painted with a blue dye that strengthens the wood and protects it from solar damage. There are carving panels representing each of the major gods. These panels are mounted beside all exterior doors.
The walls are thick enough to protect from weather and cold, but the Academy was not built as a fortress. It does however have its own guard, known as the Copper Guard. These Protectors ensure student and teacher safety against bandits and brigands, as well as wolves or bears looking for a meal.
The Ceannasai Academy was started by Naledi, Peregrine Stormcloud, and Tanyeth Boltbringer so that Uclandia might advance in politics and business in the future. As Tanyeth put it, "It's up to us to guide Wintershire, Banern Province and all of Uclandia into the future so that we have true leaders and not despots!"
The Academy has many windows, made of magically enhanced glass to prevent heat-loss. The windows are both stained glass (that depict the Gods and Saints), as well as clear to allow light in. Flameless torches are also utilized for more light and as a principal light source after sunset. Rooms are kept warm enough to be comfortable (since the land outside is nearly always in the grip of winter), but not so warm that those inside are lulled to sleep. The floors are covered in woven rugs to help keep feet warm from the chill of stone, tapestries depicting various scenes from Uclandian history are hung on the walls, and fireplaces almost always have fires lit. When available, applewood from fallen trees or pruned branches from Naledi's own orchard is used to create a pleasant smell. (There is much speculation regarding the orchard that should not thrive in Wintershire, but Naledi is quite secretive about this)
As the Academy's reputation grows, there have been appeals by Uclandians from across the Provinces to come and study, but these students need shelter as well, so there are plans to build dormitories and a kitchen. Students come from all age groups, but must be over fifteen, and all genders.
All of the rooms house a library of some size containing books and scrolls relating to specific knowledge such as social issues, history or politics. The Academy contains a growing library that is protected by the Educational Decree. Scholars formerly forced into hiding by the previous Count and Viscountess have been found at the library studying some of these important texts. The weavings, carvings, and furniture at the Academy have all been produced within Uclandia by local craftspeople.
There is talk of creating a gallery of paintings, tapestries, and sculptures at the Academy that would reflect Uclandian culture. But this gallery is still in the planning stages.

You did a good job on this article---you took me there, wordslinger---mission accomplished! However, may I suggest that your page layout leave a space between the previous subject and the new topic header? For instance, the topic header 'Purpose & Function' is right underneath the last paragraph relating to a different topic. Of course, please take any suggestions I make with a grain of salt. You are the creator of this page and, ultimately, call all of the shots. :)
Great suggestion, thank you! Unfortunately, I cannot affect the spacing between those sections, since they were the "prompt focused" suggestions below the body of the text. Perhaps it's possible with a knowledge of CSS, but I don't know it. I can see The Ceannasai Academy, smell it, taste it and here the echos throughout the corridors. So I'm pleased I took you there too. Thank you for the feedback.
