Ekon Obin

Ekon Obin is the head of Odera Nakuru Ilios's Nubian Guard at Sentinel Fortress. He worked for Odera's father as the Nubian ambassador to Fultar, and swore an eternal oath to guard and protect her when Princes Odera was sent on an embassy to Fultar. When Odera converted and became a Katheroi, Ekon and most of the Nubian Guard joined her. Ekon was married to a great lesser member of the Fultonian Nobility, Adia Tours. Their love story was one for the ages. However, Adia was a priestess of Tya Nehru and refused to convert to the Katheroi religion and remained behind in Fultar. Adia was from the Barony of Ranalin, and was required to leave the court at Fulton to her home barony after the disgrace of her husband joining the heretical cult. He was once a loquacious man at ease with royalty and military leaders, but he has now become laconic and only at ease with Odera and the Nubian Guard. Many are uncertain about the depth of his devotion to Mithras and the Katheroi faith, but he humbly and faithfully follows all religious rules and never speaks in anyway inconsistent with the tenets of the religion. Ekon is a feared warrior who is an expert with the Nubian long bow, and wields a great magical Akrafena with a golden hilt. The members of the Nubian Guard follow him loyally; however, their great passion and devotion is to Odera Nakuru.
