Odera Nakuru Ilios

Odera Nakuru was a Nubian princess that converted to the Katheroi faith on a diplomatic mission to Fultar. She left her inheritance and brought those of her followers who decided to convert to Sentinel Fortress. Like many new religious converts, her faith is deep and profound. She is married to Dame Agnes Ilios and commands an elite corps of about 50 Nubian warriors. Dame Agnes can sometimes be hot headed and rash, and Odera is calming influence that keeps the likely successor to the Lord Raymond Ilios, Marquess of the Reaches and Lord of Sentinel Fortress centered. The Captain of her Nubian Guard is Ekon Obin and her most trusted advisor is the powerful fire wizard Shubi Danso. Odera's prefers to fight unarmored from horseback with a long Nubia spear; however, she has learned the tactics and battle strategies of the northern snow climate. While she has converted to the Katheroi faith which honors all equally, she jealously protects her Nubian soldiers, who have a fierce allegiance to her. The Council considered breaking up her guard, but ultimately decided that the Nubians would be more effective as a separate fighting unit.
