The Golden Wilds

Connected along the Golden River, the Golden wilds began to appear around 500 years ago after the creation of the Golden city. Acting as a natural barrier for passerby attempting to cross the desert, they are a deadly and dangerous place to be for those who believe they will be able to escape the deserts grasp and find respite within it. Holding some of the most dangerous animals that the Golden sea, the wilds are only traversed by the brave and stupid. Anybody looking to trade should instead traverse through the golden city and their much safer roads.   Trees in the wilds can grow to enormous heights with vines so thick that the wilds constantly seem to be in a state of darkness, which can be misleading to travelers who believe they can be utilized for shade. The creatures of the wilds have evolved to survive in the magical landscape and almost the entirety of the jungle wildlife holds deadly skill. The most deadly of these creatures are the residents of the wilds who reside within it.   Small communities within the wilds prosper but hold a very territorial stance against outsiders who attempt to seek refuge. Should you be a native of the Wilds, the outside world is simple compared to the daily hardships that the wilds offer. Natives are hardened and isolated folks who hold their traditions close to their heart. The golden wilds are said to hold some of the most powerful druids that the Kaliss offers. With the druids mysterious magic and the creatures deadly force, keep a far reach from the wilds if you know what's worth living for.
Golden Wild Native cultures are often closely connected to nature and will rarely choose to leave the wilds. Over a century ago, a civilization of the wilds decided to enter the golden city for trade and never returned, with the city growing vast plant life along its walls. Believing this to mean that the city has stolen their power for their own, the wilds have further isolated themselves from any and all outsiders. The members of the wilds are not interacted with often but reports of flashes of green and browns of humanoid shapes crossing the trees have been reported be explorers who came back alive to tell the tale. So far nobody has successfully made peaceful contact with the natives in a hundred years...
