Ral
The people of Alshar follow their god named "Ral" and worship him as a living being. They believe that he created the world, and they pray to him for guidance in all things. His priests are called "Sage", and they serve as advisors to the king. Ral is considered a benevolent deity who will reward those who obey his teachings with good fortune. He has many followers among the elves, dwarves, and humans of Alshar.
The priests of Ral are wise men who live in the temples dedicated to their god. These temples are often located in the capitals of Alshar's cities. The priests spend their days studying texts written by previous sages. They also help the common folk understand the teachings of their god. The Teachings of Ral state that the only way to achieve salvation is through hard work and dedication. Those who do not work hard will suffer eternal punishment in the afterlife.
The priests of Ral are allowed to marry. They choose a spouse based on personality rather than beauty or wealth. Once married, the priest must remain faithful to his wife until death. If he breaks this vow, he becomes a heretic and is banished from the temple.
The priests of Ral are permitted to have children.
