Ruins of Ancient Thay

The ruins of the Thay race lie in the mountains of Alshar. These ruins date back thousands of years ago when the Thay ruled over the continent of Delia. The ruins consist of stone walls and towers, and are surrounded by dense forest. The area is heavily guarded by soldiers and mages. Only a select few are allowed inside the ruins. The reason for this is because the ruins contain artifacts that may contain valuable information regarding the Thay race.
The ruins themselves are covered in vines and moss. Hushed whispers can be heared as travelers appoach the ruins. This has led to speculation that the ruins are haunted. The vegetation grows thicker the closer you get to the ruins. The thick vegetation blocks your view of the ruins and prevents anyone from getting too close.
It is rumored that the Thayan Empire once controlled the entire continent of Delia. It is believed that the empire fell due to a combination of factors, including the rise of the elves and the dwarves.
Some believe that the Thayan Empire was destroyed by a terrible plague. Others believe that it was destroyed by the gods themselves. No one knows for sure. What we do know is that the Thayan Empire no longer exists.
The Thayan Empire was known for its beautiful architecture and skilled craftsmen. Its rulers were said to be wise and powerful.
