Shield Blade
Mechanics & Inner Workings
The blade can be retracted to a point so that the blade is easier to carry when not in use. This happens through a combination of magic and technology developed by Oor Ehschtoüntuo Gunkar the weapon development department of Pfussäwinn Witts.
In addition to changing the size of the blade has some places for Focus Crystals or Summoning Talismans so that using magic while wielding the blade is easier. The blade has a sharp edge that can be used in combat but or as a shield when held correctly. The blade works best with a Focus Crystal that has the spell Barrier or Ward which allows the defense of people nearby.
Significance
It is made out of Dragon bones and scales which are precious to the dragons. The survivors of dragon families rarely give parts of their loved ones to be turned into weapons or armor so anything that is made out of dragons is rare. Since this weapon is made completely out of dragon parts it is not a common weapon outside of Fröckdt who are often elite units of Schällk Fröckdt. Since the blade is heavy and used only by Fröckdt it can only be used by people with Pfussä Pünntwa.
