Drakith
An old city is known for its wealth and opulent nobles, while its main population starved. Drakith is the only Silent lake city-state to not get conquered by the Empire of Akoom, as it was considered not worth the resources.
Centered around a large palace made of marble with blue-colored domes, stained glass windows, and gold designs throughout. Large avenues lead from the palace to both the docks and gatehouse. While several other mansions litter the city, and a few key areas are kept up for appearances, the majority has fallen into poverty and slum-like conditions.
The two avenues are lined with decorative colonnades and flower gardens. A large covered market links the Avenues just before the central palace. This market specializes in luxury goods that might be of interest to the nobility, this includes slaves as Drakith is one of only a few places where slavery is legal. The Avenues also include amphitheaters, temples to Draco and Mepstie, bathhouses, libraries, and several other mansion compounds. Everything is built to extravagance giving the city its false wealthy appearance, however, if you are able to sneak past these buildings you'd see the true picture.
The docks are split into two, the first is an elaborate, decorated marble dock that has various high-end inns that deals exclusively with wealthy visitors, while the second with a poor half-stone, half-wood venture that is covered in warehouses and poorer inns. This second one leads into the slums and the lesser markets that dot the city.
You can buy anything in Drakith,
As long as it isn't blue.
And if you have blue? Well I hope your wealthier then a dragon.
