Glimmerbay

Built on the coral barrier reef off the south shore of the high sea, Glimmerbay started as a refugee for small folk fleeing the revolts. Using the reef to survive, this grew into a sanctuary for them to escape the world of big folk. While the city only had the sea as defense, rumors talk of a horror beneath the surface that has taken a shine to the little folk. The city itself has never been conquered, only the district on the shore has fallen to a foreign power. Ruled by a council in theory, the Druids have considerable of power to influence decisions.

Arcitecture

The Reef is used in all things, while older structures use dead parts of the reef to build, most buildings from the divine age onwards are sculpted from living coral by the druids who live within the town. This creates colorful, natural-looking buildings and streets. In comparison, the district on the shore is built of wood, thatch, and dirt.

Gaurdian

The small folk defends and look after the reef, only taking what they need to survive, and even encouraging the growth of the ecosystem. In return, they are protected by a large serpentine creature that lives around the reef. It is believed to be one of the primal beasts depicted at Wū Yāo Mén. What is known is attacks have had their ships destroyed by something punching a hole in the bottom and serene music being heard from beneath the depths.

Districts

While the majority of the city isn't divided into set districts, several parts of it are separated for specific jobs. These are often separated by water and require a small boat to travel to.

General town

This takes up the majority of the reef and is the housing, services, and places of work for the majority of the populace.

Druid glade

An overgrown bit of reef in the center of the town marks the Druid's glade. This honeycomb-like structure houses the druids and their apprentices and is said to have access to the heart of the reef. Considered sacred ground by the town, only druids are allowed access to this area.

Nursary lagoons

These are a series of shallow lagoons surrounding the Druid glade. Used to monitor and look after the ecosystem. catching from these lagoons is forbidden as it is to keep the next generation of various animals safe. Several schoolers keep an eye on the area and advise the council accordingly.

Ferry port

A small port area to the south of the reef supplies ships for travel not only around the reef but to and from shore and the fishing grounds.

Shore district

The only way to get to the reef is by first entering the palisaded district on the shore. While a few large folk do live here, it mostly just houses a blacksmith, inn, and ferry port.
