Lady Death
Lady Death (a.k.a. Madien of Death, Dread Queen, Her of many faces and many more)
Often referred to as a spirit, she has some sort of counterpart in every culture using different names, and so is also referred to as her of many faces. Lady Death is the most common name used and Many will understand what is meant when the name is used. The spirit of death it is said she collects spirits and escorts them to the afterlife.
The many names of Death
While the Lady of Death is one of many names, a few of the common ones are listed below with the deviation factors. Lady Death - A personification of death for those who follow Akoom. This version is often a clocked woman in her mid-thirties. Shirnes are only found in graveyards. Revarthin - Traditionally the Elvish Goddess of death, she is also found throughout Frostmourn and is identifiable by a porcelain mask. It should also be pointed out that Revarthin is a Goddess, not a spirit. Maiden of Death - Popular in the Gem Sea, this version was dressed as a noble in her late teens. She also uses a skull in a black ring as her symbol instead of the more traditional one. Dread Queen - The version of death whispered in Rivell, said to be the sister of The Goddess, she has no symbols, pictures, or shrines. Only being appeased at funerals or times of strife. This is the darkest depiction of death. Siren of Death - A beautiful siren who uses the same symbol as the Maiden. She is however depicted in fish scale covering and is honoured by sailors. Vroint - Also known as Urt Vroint means Old Friend in ancient Spirit tongue. Often depicted more as an older sister figure or a caring young female. She is the main version of death worshiped among the Shifter tribes, Kalastar and Lacertillia.Divine Domains
