Nightingail
(a.k.a. Giant of the Mire)
Very little is known about the heavily cloaked 'giant' of the Mire, having showed up shortly after the Battle of Voidcape in 122 Fey with his steel and Void stone pantha called Shadow. He guides many travelers through the swamp, seemingly not fearing even the darker months, or the horrors it presents. He often doubles as the group's doctor, hunter, and survivalist.
appearance
Standing eight feet tall and broad, Nightingail wears a large heavy traveler's cloak with a face covering to hide his features, only the glow of yellow eyes showing from under the hood. Plate boots poke out under the cloak with a large repeater crossbow strapped to the back.personality
A curious mind, he is often the smartest person in a group, though his knowledge of the world at large seems lacking. He has a rather stoic personality betraying no emotion he might have, though Nightingail does join in conversations, especially of the intellectual nature. He seems to care for those under his ward, though several people have pointed out that this seems to be others projecting emotions onto him.Skills
Nightingale is a skilled survivor, especially in the Mire of lost souls, able to hunt and forage safe food in the corruption. He seems a competent smith and tinkerer from Shadow's existence and his crossbow continuing to function. What is known however is his skills as a doctor able to see to a companion's wounds even deep in the swamp. He seems to have a limitless supply of clean maggots, though no one has figured out where they come from.Rumors
While most believe him to be a half-giant due to his size, many others point out his ease in the swamp in comparison to other half-giants preferring more stable ground. Others claim he's from Aten, the lost city of the Shadow Republic that was confirmed to still be standing by Grunkle's Angels.
