Abandoned
You go back home.
If you can call this enormous, abandoned house a home. It's in perfect conditions, clean except for the dust. When Casimiro—the old toothless owner of the building—showed you the place, you asked if there wasn't any plagues that could give you a disease. You were joking, and you like to believe that he was doing the same when he said that no living creature dared to enter anymore.
It's nothing out of the ordinary, and nothing should be spooky about it. Every room is illuminated with electric lamps and there aren't any strange noises or changes in the temperature. No currents, no plumbing issues.
Yet it's creepy for some reason.
And tonight, still looking for something Halloween-like to do, you decide to figure out that reason. Is it the portrait of a smiling girl looking the birds trough her window? The ancient dusty mirror that looks more like a window than a mirror? The door that the owner forbid you to open, even when is not closed but ajar? None of those things is spooky, but you are at least curious about them.
What should you focus on?
