Chasm
What you don't know, is that you are running into the darkness, not away from it. There is no moonlight to guide you in the forest, not this far from the path.
The trees wont try to grab you, at least. Their branches don't grow this close to the ground. The forest is as quiet as the town, except for the crickets and the whisper of the wind. It's easy to forget about your panic as your legs start to get tired.
Now walking carefully, you turn around and try to return, using your arms to feel the trees in the way. You are so busy thinking that running was stupid, that you don't stop to consider if walking in total darkness is much better.
The sound of enormous wings comes from nowhere and everywhere. Of course, you panic again and try to walk away of the sound, forgetting to at least try to feel what's in front of you until, finally, there is nothing and you fall.
You just fall. Forever.
It's kind of a lie to say that this is...
The End.
Well, I fell into a chasm. Fun though!
I'm glad to read that you had fun :) Thanks for reading... (Thanks for playing?)
