Curse
"A wolf?" She says, confused, and then she hurries to shake her head. "You say that because of the howling?"
As you confirm her suspicion she smiles.
"That was Bobbie the alien. He's been here for ages, against all odds. He's so clumsy! And every time he hurts or spooks himself by accident he makes that sound. As if he didn't know that there isn't any other of his kind around!"
She tells you the story of how the creature arrived in a broken machine. With no way to go back, he would have probably end the town or get himself killed, because his kind ate only primate meat.
"Luckily, he doesn't need to regularly eat, just when he's badly hurt. I don't think he has done such thing more than four times since he arrived... that was before I died, before I was born even, so I cannot be sure."
She advises you to stay away from the creature.
"As I said, he is easy to spook, and he usually escapes but, if he decides to attack instead, you will be dead before you even know."
She walks with you to the town, and before parting ways you thank her for the warning. She smiles and says that she's happy to help for the first time in her... existence.
She doesn't tell you about her selfish life, and the curse that old Casimiro put on her because of that. You'll never know that she's just left the forest for the first time in a century. Nevertheless, maybe you will hear someday that she was seen this night, walking around, saying goodbye to the town to finally move on. She can finally do all that because her curse was broken when she helped you.
Oblivious to all that drama, you go back home and sleep all night, as a shadow looks at you and other tries to open the curtains of the window. Luckily, you don't notice that either.
