Misfortune
After a while thinking about it, you figure it out. The shadow looks like a person behind a curtain, not like something projected on a wall. And was it even on the wall? You are not sure anymore.
Wait. Where did it go?
There is a set of stairs in the room, and you think that it may be... how absurd. It didn't got up the stair. But it may have been projected by something up there, you guess. Somehow you gather the courage to go there and solve the mystery.
The fifth step of the stairs makes a cracking noise and your foot goes trough it. When you pull to set it free, you confirm that you are stuck. You alternate efforts to get out by force but without breaking your leg, to come out with a clever way of freeing your leg, and to get for help by desperately shouting. Nothing works.
Eventually you lose your patience and, in a whim, pull with all your strength. You have the misfortune to be quite strong when you lose you patience, and you fall back, finally free.
You wake up the afternoon of the next day, there is blood in your hair and the floor. Your head hurts. Don't worry, the doctor will explain you that is not as bad as it seems. But how are you going to explain the owner that you entered that room and ruined the stairs?
