• Their Influences on the Protagonist?

Javek has shaped Veronika's entire psyche. He is the reason Veronika is shy, doesn't trust others, prefers not to speak, and, later in life, uses mental walls to defend themselves.
StilMyst is the leader of Murkwell. StilMyst has influenced Veronika's opinion that other "outsiders" will not stop injustice and there is no real "good"...StilMyst let Veronika believe he would help them get away, but did nothing when he saw the extent of Javek's brutality.
Terys is the only friendly villager in Murkwell. He becomes Veronika's first friend; it soon becomes apparent that Terys is helping Veronika learn how to trust and open up to others, but is it too late for that?

• What Happened to the Relationships?

Javek dies during the event that destroys Murkwell. However, there is still a version of him in Veronika's head.
StilMyst is now dead. He died the night Murkwell was destroyed.
Terys is still alive. He rejoins Veronika at the first village. He survives the events of Murkwell.

What Important Relationships are Part of Veronika's Life Now?

Who Are They?

• Terys joins after meeting them in the first village.
• Brie joins after meeting in the second village. Brie is also a Healer.

Their Influences on the Protagonist?

• Terys convinces Veronika to join him and to let Brie join them when they meet her. His main influence on Veronika is trust.
• Brie teaches Veronika to use magic sparingly and cautiously. Eventually had to become the magic user of the group to keep Veronika from using.

What Will Happen to the Relationships?

• Terys and Veronika end up in a nonsexual but romantic relationship, though this relationship will be tested by Terys finding out that Veronika is the reason behind what happened to Murkwell.
• Brie joins once Terys convinces Brie to let them. Once things that Veronika faces becomes apparent to the group, Brie tries to make Veronika choose between magic and the group.
