Calcarian jet
Calcarian jet is a type of gemstone found solely in Calcaria. Calcarian jet is rare, and as such, quite expensive: the average witch cannot afford it. The gemstone is primarily used in jewelry, as it is an exceptional conduit for magic and will strengthen a witch's magic, to some extent. Calcarian jet is almost identical to Whitby jet (found in Whitby, UK) except this jet's magical abilities.
Vesper Cross owns a ring made of Calcarian jet that was a gift from his parents for reaching Level Three.
