Food, Glorious FOOD! Unofficial Challenge WINNERS!

There were so many amazing entries to the Food, Glorious FOOD! unofficial challenge this past month. Seriously, you guys are amazingly creative and downright inspirational in your works. But, the time has come to unveil the winners of the challenge!

Third Place

elspeth87 won third place with their article on camp foods of the Nomad culture in their world. It was a beautiful article separated by time of day, and gave background and recipes for each item.

Second Place

Mochimanoban won second place with their article on the food of the Looming Desert on Norrab, which I'm pretty darn sure is a planet. The hand-drawn art was a treat as I read about not only the food, but the ingredients and how they were obtained.

The plant-based cuisine of the Looming Desert. Life is a struggle in this boiling region, but the food is delicious.

First Place

Tyrdal won first place with their article on Ri'am, a desert dessert steeped with tradition. I was absolutely immersed in this article, and could imagine every step.

OH WOW! I am so proud and pleased that you enjoyed the article. I hadn't thought about food as a way of expressing a culture before, more of extra flavour (pardon the pun). So thank you again for running the challenge. I really enjoyed writing it! <3

So many worlds to choose from...

I...did not expect that but I'm really happy you enjoyed reading about Ri'am. Thank you so much for hosting an amazing challenge! (and expect more food in the future)

Sit down, my friend, and let me tell you of Aran'sha . A world where the sands shift and the stars sing, where the wind carries secrets and the twin moons keep silent vigil over it all.
